THE SHORT VERSION

Choose the people first, then the game and format. A printed game, printable files and Maker account access are different purchases, not interchangeable gifts.

Some gifts get opened and put away. Others give everyone a reason to stay at the table. A game can be that kind of gift, especially if you also bring the preparation and offer to call the first round.

For Nochebuena, you do not need the biggest present or a perfect family portrait. You need something that fits the people coming, the time you have and the way your household celebrates. Start there instead of buying a format the recipient does not want to prepare.

Think of their table, not a generic Christmas party

Nochebuena is December 24, Christmas Eve. Some families gather around dinner, some attend worship and others keep the evening quiet. Ask the host before planning an activity. Let people watch, share a board or leave after a round without needing a reason.

For a ready-made game, Navidad Latina is our original bilingual Christmas Lotería. Preview the artwork and labels before buying, especially for children, a workplace or a faith community. A Christmas title alone does not tell you whether every joke and reference fits.

A physical gift and a digital file ask different things of someone

A physical edition ships the contents listed for that version. Check the pieces, materials and delivery information before paying. Do not assume it also includes downloadable files, markers or extra boards. The selected product is the source of truth.

A digital edition is for printing and preparation. Read its file list and instructions, print one page first and allow time for any cutting. If the recipient does not have printer access or does not want that work, a printable file may not be the gift you mean to give.

For a personal gift, choose memories people want to share

A custom Maker project can feature a familiar kitchen, the pet under the tree, a favorite mug or the recipe everybody asks for. Use your own or licensed pictures and get permission for identifiable people. Avoid private announcements, sensitive stories and jokes somebody would rather not receive as a surprise.

Start a draft free, review the design and then choose custom digital access or a separate printed order. A saved free draft can be used for a custom physical order without buying a digital pass first. The physical purchase does not unlock paid digital files.

Maker access belongs to an account. This guide is not offering a gift card or transferable subscription. Do not give someone your password as a gift. A finished game and the right to edit its project are different things.

Offer to do the part that makes the gift easy

Tell the host you would like to bring a game, then prepare it. Keep the calling deck and matching boards together. Show one winning pattern and explain ties before playing. Say the Spanish and English names, show each picture and pause. People do not need to translate or already know the game to join.

Keep drinks beside the boards, choose age-appropriate markers and supervise young children. Let the round stop when the table needs a break. The gift exchange, if there is one, should follow its own rules; receiving an assigned gift must not depend on winning.

Before Christmas, check the actual order, not a general promise

There is no holiday-arrival guarantee in this guide. Read the estimate for the destination and format you select. For a self-printed gift, open final files and test the intended scale before printing the whole set. For a custom design, save and review the final version before downloading or approving a print order.

Add a short note and stay to help put the game away. What makes the gift personal is not the quantity of pieces. It is that you noticed the people who will use them and made the evening a little easier. Ready-made shop games, Maker access and custom printed sets are separate purchases.
